The world’s oldest Sherlockian society gathering since 1934.

About the BSI

You come for Sherlock.
You stay for the friendships.

The Baker Street Irregulars is an international literary society and 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the study of Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and the Victorian world.

Founded in 1934, we are the oldest Sherlockian society in existence. Our members have distinguished themselves through scholarship, writing, and decades of dedication to the Canon. But you don’t need an invitation to be part of what we do — the world of the BSI is open to anyone who loves Holmes.

The Baker Street Journal

The premier journal of Sherlockian scholarship since 1946.
